Total time: 2-½ hours or overnight
½ cup sugar
½ cup coarsely chopped dates 1 cup dried figs, quartered ½ cup raisins 3 cups dried apricots, halved 1 cup walnuts 6 cups water or milk Combine the sugar, dried fruit and walnuts. If you are using water, bring it to a boil, pour it over the fruit/nut mixture, and let it soak for at least 2 hours.
