I welcome suggestions for improvements to this site -- technical, editorial, artistic and gustatorial.

Like any project of this kind, Serving the Guest will always be incomplete. In fact, there are some gaps that I would love help in filling. The wish list includes:

  1. The recipe for the porridge made in the degs at the shrine of Muinuddin Chishti in Ajmer, India.
  2. Somewhere there is a picture of Shaikh Suleyman Loras tasting from a wooden spoon.
  3. There are no African recipes yet. Any contributions?
  4. Although I am proud to say that this is one "spiritual" cookbook that does not insist that only vegetarians can attain to fana fi'Allah, a few more fabulous vegetarian entrees from various sources would be lovely.
  5. More stories to share!

Just a note: The author is not a teacher, but a student of Sufism, and also a mother, wife, librarian, researcher, web developer, and freelance enthusiast on diverse subjects. I have not sought to describe how people should act or believe, but to describe what they say and write and do. Divergent opinions and controversial topics are presented as is.

Thank you for being my guest, and bon appetit!
